I really hate this about indigenous people. I was born in this country and my mum and dad so I am indigenous to Australia. Stop whining and make a go of it like everyone else has too. What you don't think that maybe Aboriginals may have slaughtered those before them to take over their land.

Given that right at the start the Aboriginals and British actually got along and helped each other (before the British invaders ruined it for both parties through greed and domination tactics) we should still have Australia day but it should be geared at thanking the Aboriginals for welcoming the settlers and for giving us the Australia we know and love today. Australia Day means Different things to different people. Australians weren't necessarily born in Australia nor are they all of an Australian heritage.

Celebrating Australia Day is wonderful each year whatever the date ... why change it now? Celebrating on this day/date does nothing to malign Aborigines. Political correctness has gotten out of control. Leave well enough alone!

I think the truth is we all need to try to keep an open mind and remind ourselves that all around the world things change as we realise mistakes were made before we were even born.
