Compulsory to wear a mask when leaving home during Covid-19 crisis?

By Alex . Created on 18 Jul, 2020
Should the government make it compulsory for people to wear a mask when they are leaving home? It is mandatory for many countries to wear mask when out except exercising and m=with medical conditions. Countries like Singapore, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, South Korea and Japan have made mask wearing compulsory. Should we learn from them?

I worked in medical supplies for 13 years and gained a lot of product knowledge. Face masks and even blood filters DO NOT filter bacteria !!! Masks and filters are just a very fine strainers, bacteria are very small and if you made them fine enough to filter bacteria, blood filters would filter the red and white blood cells as well and with face masks you wouldn't be able to breathe. In 3 weeks the numbers in Victoria have gone from a few hundred active cases to well over 3000. Do have to wonder if these people think they are bullet proof. Got news for them, they are not. Saw where they had to euthanise 100,000 Minks as 87% tested positive to the virus. It is not just taking out humans but animals as well.

They were being bred for this purpose which in itself is horrific. I don't think they would throw the pelts out though they will have to disinfect them I guess. Anyone who wears such a garment should feel disgusted with themselves.

Yes. Why would people not add this little bit of kit to the precautions. They wear safety belts in cars and think nothing of it but carry on about a face mask like children who have not got their own way. I think they all need to grow up and start to realise this is a very serious situation and we are no where near the end of it. I cannot believe 54% of people have voted no.

What a sensible way to look at things. And just like cars they can come in multiple colours and patterns. Match your dress or tie?
