Religion can be used to justify environmental damage like climate change denial or the idea that God/Gods gave us the Earth to have dominion but theories in economy and sociology have been used for the same justifications. I cant speak on behalf of any other world religion other than Christianity but my beliefs teach me to be careful and considerate of the world's ecosystems and environments.
