No I cannot afford to these days. I put some money in a card for my grandkids and they can buy what they want. Once they are 18 it all stops, because their either working or in Uni

the problem is that most of us did not get very much aswe grew up, and we dont want to let our children and friends go thru that so we spend a lot more normally than we intend to on gifts, and paper and cards, and then by the time we add food to that it does mount up to quite a lot..
