Why should mothers day be celebrated on one day and just ignore the mother the entire year , mother is the only person no matter wot happens she never leaves her child even for a single day or moment. She must be loved and cared every single day and minute.

Everything is doubled in price, mass advertising, and really, we should not need a "special" day to be thankful for the love and support from our mum.. I just wish I still had mine.

Poor Anna Jervis died alone and destitute after spending her life lobbing the USA congress to get rid of her successfully lobbied Mother's Day. It is a very sad story about <br/> commercialisation

Definitely. As is Easter, Christmas, Boxing Day, New Year, Chinese New Year, End of Financial Year, Birthdays, Anniversaries, Valentines Day, Black Friday, Father's Day, Grandparent's Day, Second Cousin's Third Wife's Day, and every other day marketers can think up to convince us that we cannot possibly show how much we care about someone or something unless we spend all our money on them/it.
