Do you use a travel agent when booking a holiday or do you do everything online?

For those who travel, many of us would book just an airline ticket itself online - especially for domestic travel. If you are wanting to organise a more complicated holiday away with hotels, tours etc. do you research this yourself and book online to save money or go to a travel agent for their assistance?

I prefer to check my options and accommodation based on the lifestyle I'm used too not just extravagant indulgences

It depends where you are traveling. In local or interstate then on line but if going overseas then I will generally use a travel agent.

I go camping, so I don't use travel agents, and its impossible to book online where I go to. So I use neither. I prefer free camping and enjoying peace and quiet.

After using them once you won't look back. The discounts they can get are their trade, much better than we could have done. Also the personal service we got on the tours we booked, NO queues, personel tour guide, exclusive access to sites not available to public were a treat.
