Lockdown is inevitable and it is important that it happens otherwise the economy will crash hard. Lockdown will effectively freeze the economy so no more job losses can occur. So what you are actually saying is a small section of the retail industry is doing really well, and the rest of the country is doing really badly. But that the first group can employ some of those who have been put off by the 2nd group. Fair enough.

Should have done it earlier. Look at the multiplying factor of that incident on the weekend where one person at a wedding ended up infecting 35 more. Take each of those 35 as individuals x the same ratio of 35 to 1 and you now have 1,225 additionally infected. Agree with all but the last line. Some of the young people were the first to start with better hygene practices. And some of those saying "I am not going to be told what to do" are over 50 The people I am aware of going out and doing shopping for neighbours they did not previously know are the under 50s also

Only those over 75 knew before today what it was like to be in a war. But this is a very different war. The enemy is invisible. Good time to Spring clean the house and garden. Read a good book, learn a new board game.
