For a CREMATION with NO SERVICE, should the price be standard in the Funeral Industry throughout Australia.

When a loved one passes away, the last thing you feel like doing is shopping around for the best price. CREMATION - No Service, No Attendance :- Prices can vary from State to State & it also depends on the size of the company. The most expensive price was $8,816 & the lowest price was $1,700. A large company in Melbourne charged $3,200 just for a Professional Service Fee of $3,200 (4-5 hours work)

What ever you do don't die on the weekend or at night they will charge an extra $800 in some cases more for a pickup fee to the family for putting them out!! Are you serious?? Wait Wait Let me just ask the Big man upstairs to let me die at 10am so my family doesn't have to pay the extra in fees!!!

Yes they do vary in price so much. Have just been through one with a dear friend and the charges were astronomical. Across the board it should be and Funeral homes need to be above board on this.

yes they need watching, some prices are unreal just a money grab,a set fee would help stop the rip off for this type of service.

your assumption is that a universal fee would be available for a reasonable amount
What if they were just going to be charging you a lot more than you can afford to pay
free trade and economic competition is a good thing for customers incourage better service and price to be able to get and keep customers
