Political correctness is communism in it's rawest form. It's an excuse to stand over and bully people. People who engage in it are trolls and are downright corrupt.

Opening doors for someone can be seen 2 ways. You consider them helpless and in need. Or you are being nice and polite. This can lead to "excessive political correctness" responses to people just treating people with respect.

Well that depends. Do you only open doors for women? Or do you open doors for anyone who happens to be near by? Are you insisting that a woman remain in the car until you get out and open her door?
