Have lockdowns made you reevaluate the importance of being a home maker or career person

During your time at home during lockdowns, have you considered changing from having a career to rather becoming a thrifty home maker.

No. No re-evaluations here. I am insanely grateful that employers deemed me unemployable years ago, as my illnesses mean I cannot work where covid is a risk, and I am pretty much only qualified for retail - so I would have lost my job becasue I could not work in retail during covid. Yes it's tough on one income and huge medical bills every month, but we manage.

Always been a thrifty homemaker - was the eldest of 5 kids so learnt from my Mum. But still running a part time business from home too. Job outside home that I was doing alongside these is now gone - thanks Covid.

Being in my home seven days a week and 24 hours a day, I have refurbished, re-styled, renewed and re-decorated every inch of the house. It has kept me happy in some dark times

I've done both, often in combination perfectly successfully. For women with a choice the decision should be a consideration of balance.

Because I am retired I mostly stay at home anyway so it was already important to me to be a good homemaker.

As I was a stay-at-home Mum living in a home owned outright by staying at work till we were financially secure, I do not need to reevaluate the importance etcetera!
