I'm a little embarrassed to say that since COVID reared it's ugly head (and many restaurants that previously we would not have visited started offering takeaways/deliveries) we now get takeaways at least twice a week. A big part of it is that part of the son's board is to provide dinner twice a week, and like his father he does not cook.
As they are not reading this - I will fess up and admit that both my husband and son are better cooks than me when they want to be. So is the daughter - oops maybe I should give up cooking altogether.
I am lazy about breakfast as I don't like to have it at home. I get up and prepare to leave the house withing 30 mins, as I am now a undergraduate, I like to get a jump on my course work. I find maccs for muffin and coffee just fine and at my age I can please myself. Not bad for a 67 year old. Lunch is usually fruit and soup and dinner a salad, so don't feel guilty having maccs.
We may have a 'takeaway' once or twice a year, if we happen to be out at lunchtime. Our preferred fast food is subway, so still quite healthy. I must admit I do like a Big Mac, and when we go to Bali we have them several times, but here in Australia not so much. It doesn't help (or maybe it does) that all 'fast food' and 'takeaways' are all more than 40k's from our home.
Much less than once a week, only as a special treat for a visiting grandchild usually.. I prefer a quick homemade meal to any take away, even scrambled eggs on toast is better in my opinion.
