Getting a slim piece of fish in a wad of batter that has soaked up a substantial amount of oil is not a healthy choice. Crumbed or grilled depending on the type of fish offers the better choice.

Generally battered fish is a small piece covered in a large coating of batter. While battered and crumbed are both deep fried with the resultant issue of fat crumbed presents as the more appealing meal. Depending on the type of fish grilled is preferable; salmon comes to mind.

Grilled is better, healthy. I don't mind having battered for flatheads only.
