Lost my job, casual for only 9 months so dont get any government benefit requiring 12 months minimum. Been paying tax for 45 years but not old enough for a pension, things looking a bit grim

As a self-funded retiree YES currently, but if the stock market doesn't pick up in a sustainable manner soon, I will be joining the ranks of Aged Pensioners and impacting on the Government's budget bottom line!

my concern is that i don't have enough sick pay to cover two weeks. Will the AU govt, like the Brits cover sick pay for people that are quarantined?
