I know how to change a tyre and have done in the past, but I am physically incapable due to psoriatic arthritis in my hands. I can help hubby if we are together, but if I am driving alone, I have no choice but to call the RAC (WA).

I have done it a few times for other women, and thankfully never for myself (touch wood), I can also change the oil, filter etc. My hubby said if I want to drive the car I need to learn the basics of car maintenance which has got me out of trouble many times, went for drive with my daughter & mother-in-law one day, came back to find a huge puddle of transmission fluid under the car, I knew what it was, so had a ...

Hubby made sure that he taught both son and daughter how to maintain their cars. Now daughters partner passes the tools while she does what needs doing.

It hasnt happened, but I would phone hubby and get grumbled at. But he would come and fix it anyway. If he was out of town I would phone RACWA
