But the installers would have to be vetted. Or it will be like the NBN and now with solar. Out of towners come in, do a slack job and depart. Leaving the locals to clean up the mess.

Great idea in theory, yet there is always a 'but' when the companies fail to constantly upgrade the electrical supply to maintain 240kw, it creates the constant problem that some if not all inverters fail to operate when the volume of electricity created rises above 250kw and inverters switch off. We have them and I think they're a great was to reduce our carbon footprint, as well as helping us to be more energy efficient and ultimately reduce the cost of our electricity. I think the rebate for our green energy going onto the grid could be better supported by offering better monetary deals.
