Better still, stop letting people from overseas come into the country, whether they are Australians or not especially If they left to go overseas since February 2020.. They went overseas during a pandemic then they deserve to stay where they went.

They have a whole massive facility that the Government employed 109 staff, at a cost of $26.8m. Yet they choose to just have 1 poor Family locked up there just to prove a point that Dutton made. Christmas Island could easily be used as a quarantine facility instead of continuing to waste funds on hotels & building other Facilities. While their at it they should stop the nightmare for the poor Biloela Family they h...

Hotels were never the best solution but in the time of the emergency the best that could be done. Sites outside of cities would be best as long as medical facilities are on site to look after the sick. People who work there would have to also go into quarantine if they left whereas I don't think they do from Hotels = why some outbreaks have occurred. I see some refer to concentration camps which is disgusting. ...

Meanwhile, the pixies at the bottom of the garden had solved the whole problem with their planned and detailed response to quarantine problems. All they have to do now is tell Scomo and they are completely sure he will listen and get on board. After all, the pixies know he is such a nice man.

Hotels were never the best solution, each state probably has existing under utilised mining or recreational accommodation sites that would be better able to be managed than hotels.

Probably had accommodation but not the medical facilities close to hand so not suitable therefore.

Under the Constitution it is the responsibility of the Federal Government to manage quarantine. This government will not take on this responsibility because it would then have to take responsibility for failings and not be able to blame any state government, preferably Labour ones.

There are centres that exist that fit this purpose. They were called Detention Centres. Why we are not using them I can not guess. Perhaps some are still being used as Detention Centres, if so move the people in them into some and use some as Quarantine Centres. Simple, so of course it is not being done.

It’s funny, we actually used to have facilities for this exact issue, but to save a penny we closed and then sold it off to real estate. <br/>And now how much is this going to cost to re introduce?
