We should include.... Volunteering, ironing, setting tables, correctly answering phone calls, simple financial advice or simple investment advise/case studies etc. They should all do a Living Skills 6 month Subject. I don't know if parents are just too busy or its too hard basket, but these skills just are not being taught as they once were before.

The more the kids are taught about the real world the better off they will be!

Certainly, kids grow up with no sense of what value money really has. I was lucky enough to go to a school that spent a maths lesson teaching you how to fill in a EOY tax form. I taught my son at an early age what money could buy and he has made it to late 20s with no debt and a good understanding of saving for what he wants.

It's a life skill unlike some of the rubbish schools teach.

Yes, a least from year 10 onwards. Covering Banking, Governments and Law, Life skills and not necessarily for exams, definitely not attached to Maths. We learnt a lot of this in Citizens Education years ago.

Yes, absolutely, the more of these skills they learn at school, the better off they will be when they leave & start to do these things on their own.

Its life skills, I think it would do no harm and we should all respect each others opinions, best they get more help than none, I cannot see how this could be a disadvantage, anyways love to all and happy days no pressure
