The Treasurer has called for older people to work longer, do you agree or disagree?

By Scarlet . Created on 20 Nov, 2019
Labour force participation continues to decline as people age. At the beginning of the decade, the average retirement age was about 63, but the access age for the pension is expected to be 67 by 2023. But with many older Australian jobseekers reporting discrimination by employers, it may be hard for those who want to work longer find a job.

My suggestion would be to only pay the politicians what they are worth, (pretty much bugger all for most of them), stop paying ex PM's and pollies excessive pensions/incomes and superannuation, then there would be more money for the rest of us who actually worked hard for our income.

We the less well off have to do the heavy lifting after working all our lives. Their learks and perks are all good. A bit more equality would fix the problem.

if the Govt. makes people work longer before they can retire, then it should also apply to politicians; or don't they consider themselves as "people" or even Australians ?
