My last relationship was one of those that I was glad the partner was absent and really disappointed when he came home. Absence turned out to be a delight. My husband of 35 years is wonderful and I do miss him when he isn't here, but he only goes to work.

well...it depends on who you have relationship with ....if the person you were with was rude and always makes you mad.....im not sure if absence can really make the heart grow fonder .at all ...and you might sigh a sense of relief after coz the person is no longer with you i guess...

Only if the absence is short. Constant absence can be a strain on relationships. Which is why only the very strong stay in FIFO for longer than 2yrs.

My answer would depend on how much relationship experience you have as well as wisdom itself.

Of course absence makes the heart grow fonder. You appreciate someone more when they aren't around all the time
