Would you allow your 11 year old to do online gaming like Fortnite and Roblox etc.?

I am against it as online predators are such a major fear of mine, but interested to hear other's thoughts as I get the "everyone's doing it" from my kids. So many kids are playing games online it seems. I am not asking about gambling like so many have assumed which is why I have edited my question.

Fortnite is nothing compared to other games out there. I think as long as we have long conversations with them about cyber safety etc. and monitor their usage its okay. I would rather my child played it with me knowing and educating him. Rather than him going behind my back and not being able to educate him at all.

No. Anything with graphic violence or the potential for online bullying would be OUT for my children until they were 16 and legally allowed to choose for themselves.

Kids are spending far too much time with technology.. Time to put a stop to it all and re-introduce them to the great outdoors and activities..

Go outside and play and talk to each other (face to face) and get some sun on your bones, fresh air and leave the devices indie in a dark drawer..

Definitely NO. To do so will, inevitably, lead to a Gambling Addiction and then we can all hear the screams from Parents who allowed their children to get hooked as to how "They were not responsible", "The government should do something" and on and on bleating about how they and their children need help, financial aid, counselling and on and on it will go as if they and their children are all Victims whereas in real...

The question asks about online GAMING, but quite a few people have answered in relation to online GAMBLING (please note the extra B in the word). I wouldn't mind too much some online gaming ... depending. Gambling, a definite no.
